Our signature exhibit, In the Cause of Liberty, explores the war’s causes, course, and legacies through the essential perspectives of the war’s main participant groups. Artifact displays change regularly so there is always something new to see!
We hope that students and visitors will discover in the Center a new way of looking at our shared national history that explains much of who we are as Americans today.
The 8.3-acre National Historic Landmark site offers the perfect backdrop and riverfront view for any number of events! We invite you to host your next corporate outing, wedding, cocktail reception or team-building exercise here! And, don’t forget to schedule your next field trip at the Center! We offer K-12 programming compatible with both Virginia and National SOLs.
